Coryell Night Bridge II

CORYELL NIGHT BRIDGE II_Jean Childs Buzgo_16x20_oc“Coryell Night Bridge II” 16×20 Painted as a part of the series of Coryell Bridges in Lambertville, NJ, the first night bridge sold at my Solo Show at Silverman (Buckingham Green Shopping Center), it was 18×24 and a true night scene. This one is more of a twilight as I’m enjoying an exploration into the fleeting lighting of twilight. I’m also leaning from impressionism vs. expressionism. With these different approaches, I am trying to grow as an artist, always striving to differentiate myself. I just delivered this to Silverman and they are open 11-6 Wed. through Sun. Music: Post Malone especially “Feeling Whitney” and “I Fall Apart” Please visit and Like: https://www.facebook.com/JeanChildsBuzgoArtist/ to see more of my work. Solo Show at The Silverman Gallery in Buckingham, PA Continues until April 15th. Hours: 11-6 Wed. through Sunday. Thanks!

“Spring I” 5×7 Oil on Board

Good morning friends! And Happy “SPRING”! This is a little study that I did the other day, fun new way of painting. I think I’ll keep pursuing this. So much fun to do. I actually painted over another painting that I had done years ago that I wasn’t happy with, being the thrifty sort that I am, but it also gave it a cool effect! Click here for my Facebook Page for more artwork and commentairesSpring

“Hellebores” 12×12 Oil on Board

Thanks to my friend Caroline Schwendy Genovese for letting me use her picture and especially, growing, arranging and photographing these beautiful flowers in such an inspiring way. She’s got a green thumb and grew these flowers that I never even heard of before. So cool that they start blooming in late winter to help us out of the late winter blues. And now I’m finally feeling a little more confident about how I want to paint flowers to translate their beauty, dimension and magnificent colors in paint. The Boathouse Bar, Lambertville

The Boathouse BarSO EXCITED! I finally painted The Boathouse bar interior in Lambertville! I’ve been wanting to paint it for so long, and it was churning in the back of my mind for years and finally came to fruition yesterday, appropriately on Valentine’s Day. It has such an amazing feel and decor with the warm ambient lighting and all of the pictures and model boats hanging all around, top to bottom. But it’s extra special because of the great staff and the cool people we have met, not to mention that my husband and I used to work there! Well, he worked there as waiter and bar back for years while working on his degrees and paying off student loans, and I just bar backed a few times to earn some money to pay the mortgage. We also had one of our first dates there. So it’s special to me for many reasons, as I’m sure it’s special to many people for the memories that they’ve made and shared there.
